![]() In terms of real convention, we have followed more of the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, i.e. The dictionary was initially based on the Oxford Popular School Dictionary and, following its style, we have listed the verbs in different tense forms. ![]() from technical fields such as medicine, law, and grammar in English and provide their equivalents, if available, in Dzongkha and define them in Dzongkha or, in a few cases, borrow from other languages, if not. The aim of this dictionary is to treat words that belong to the general vocabulary as well as a certain amount of more specialized vocabulary, e.g. the alphabetical ordering of headwords and the clumping together of bits of information related to each headwords are placed first in the entry block and made prominent by using bold print and the variant spellings and usages are provided in parenthesis. ![]() ![]() This English-Dzongkha bilingual dictionary provides help with over 30,000 main English entries and over 75,000 Dzongkha equivalents and definitions. ![]()
